I was just reading what I had posted and I would like to improve one of my sentences by using a more appropriate word. I had written "lacking general information in this matter", I think it is better to write, "lacking general information on this topic". What do you think?

Neither is acceptable!
Lacking "general knowledge" is what I would say, unless you disagree with me...
Teachers can make mistakes, can't we?
