Dear Tony,
I wanted to ask you about something that I did not quite understand. On the key word sheet you gave us, for the writing, I wanted to know what does 'R' for Repeition mean?

So, we try OUR BEST not to use the same word within a sentence or paragraph. Use synonyms, paraphrase your ideas.
IELTS wants evidence of the RANGE of your vocabulary and that you can use more complex words appropriately in your writing and speaking. Not only that, in the speaking we want more COLOURFUL language, interesting ideas and natural use of idiomatic expressions to enhance your speaking. Show off your English! Don't play safe with boring, plain, basic words and expressions. Take some risks!
In task 2 writing you will get an "R" for repeating ideas rather than developing and extending your argument.
We are raising the bar, ladies and gentlemen!
I expect a lot, indeed I am very hard to satisfy. So, can you deliver?
We shall see in the next two weeks! You have been warned! These first four lessons are just a taste of what is to come.
I shall squeeze you "until the pips squeak!"
Enjoy the weekend! I shall.
