Argument essay topic + Tony's comments

Hello everyone!
It has been a while that I have not posted on the weblog, therefore, I am going to type down one of the essays I wrote so Tony could have a look at it.

Topic: Are women better parents than men?

I am not a parent yet, but from my perspective, I do not think it is possible to say that women are better parents than men. Both men and women play an important role in their childrens lives. An absence of one parent makes a huge difference, therefore, responsibilities get harder. In the essay I will discuss why women and men both have to be good parents.

Certainly both women and men each have certain duties they have to follow. Basically, women are known for taking care of the house, and most of the time raising and supervising the children. Womens duty is not simple, and involes alot of awareness, positive actions towards the children, and lots of communication. We can not say that only women are better. It is a matter of performing the responsibilities the women can do and vice versa.

On the other hand, men also have the other part of their duty to handle. Men have to go to work, make money for the family. In consequence, that will mostly be the responsibility of the man. In my opinion, without the man in the family, the woman would have alot of difficulties and would not be able to cope up with everything. Men have a huge role to handle and it is not easy either.

In conclusion, therefore, women are not 'better' than men in parenting. It is a matter of acting positively and dealing with all the responsibilities fairly among them both. Clearly, the children will be brought up in a proper way, and would have respect and discipline between the family.

Certainly both women and men each have certain duties they have to follow. Basically, women take care of the house, and most of the time raising and supervising the children. A mother's duty is not simple, and involves a lot of awareness, combined with positive actions towards the children, and lots of communication. We can not say that women have better parenting skills. It is a matter of performing the responsibilities either women or men can do.

On the other hand, fathers also have their duties. Men have to go to work and make money for the family. In consequence, that will be the man's responsibility. In my opinion, without the man in the family, the woman would have a lot of difficulties and would not be able to cope with everything. Men have a significant role to handle, which it is not easy either.

In conclusion, therefore, women are not 'better' than men in parenting. It is a matter of acting positively and dealing with all the responsibilities fairly and squarely. Clearly, the children will be brought up in a proper way, and would have respect and discipline between the family.

Nice one, Mona!

I shall look at the essay in more detail, tomorrow In Sha Allah!

At first glance, it looks a very sensible, balanced essay. Your argument is very mature and convincing! Well done!

Good luck for the 24th Maleki ladies and the others.
