National Geographic report by Mona

Dear Tony

I read about a special type of animal called the Kinkajou, that I have never heard of before and thought they looked pretty cute.

Kinkajou's roam around only at night time and never come out during the day. They live about a hundred feet above the ground high in the rain forest canopy. They never had any problems sharing thier trees with humans. Kinkajou's barely come down to the ground and always sleep in tree holes. They are about the size of a small house cat. They have sharp claws and rounded ears. Their tails grasp very strongly to the tree branches. It has been said that Kinkajou's come from the raccoon family, and are located on the north of South America.

Kinkajou's rarely sit together in groups. They are known as solitary animals because they always roam or sit alone on trees. Kinkajou's are carnivours. They are carnivours because of thier skull structure and thier teeth. They eat fruits all the time and certainly do enjoy eating it. Kinkajou's have only one pup per year, and nurse it for about four months.

I found this article pretty interesting and I hope everyone else will enjoy it too!

Yours sincerely
Mona

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to post this interesting report. I have highlighted your grammar/spelling mistakes. If you learn one thing from this IELTS course, Mona, and remember me for in years to come, it is that:

we never, never, never, never make a PLURAL in English with [ 's ], we put [ s ] by itself, always, always, always - unless it is [ es ] or [ ies ]!

Read my tips!

Dear Tony,
I missed out a couple of mistakes that I wanted to correct.

1) They never (had) any problems sharing their trees with humans.
2) (Its tail grasps) very strongly to tree (branches).
3) Kinkajous are (carnivour's).

That is about it.
Thanks!
